Event Signup FAQ

Welcome to our New PMI-CIC Website! To help you transition to our new website and register for an event, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions for you.

 

How do I sign up for events on the New PMI-CIC website?

To register for an event, you will first need to be logged into the website. Tto find out how to log in, see the Login FAQ under the Publications link. Second, you must have your pmi-centraliowa.org profile linked to your PMI.org profile in order to get the member discount, (You can test this by looking at your profile - click the "Profile" link - and verifying that the PMI Member ID is listed and is correct. If the PMI Member ID is not correct, send a request to dir-membership@pmi-centraliowa.org to link your profiles). Last, select the event and sign up.

 

Why don't I see the "add to cart" button for my event?

First, you need to be logged in to the website to see the "add to cart" button. Next, you need to select the event you wish to attend. You should also see the "add to cart" buttons on the "main event" popup.

 

I see "add to cart" buttons, but why don't I see the member pricing?

First, you need to be logged in to the site to see member pricing. Next, you must be logged in to a profile that is mapped to the PMI.ORG profile. (You can test this by looking at your profile - click the "Profile" link - and verifying that the PMI Member ID is listed and is correct. If the PMI Member ID is not correct, send a request to dir-membership@pmi-centraliowa.org to link your profiles). Last, you need to select the event you wish to attend and sign up.

 

Why doesn't my profile show my PMI Member ID?

Sometimes, a user will have more than one profile, and the one that you're looking at is not the one synchronized to PMI Global's membership database. This can happen when you use two different email addresses to create your profiles. Contact  dir-membership@pmi-centraliowa.org to link the two profiles. 

Another reason for not seeing a PMI Member ID is that you might not have paid your dues, or you paid them late. This would result in your being de-listed as a chapter member and, therefore ineligible for the Member rates. Renewing your membership with PMI.org will resolve this issue once the renewal is transferred to the chapter, thereby updating your profile. The transfer of renewals is a manual process and isexpected to be performed every Monday morning. Contact the dir-membership@pmi-centraliowa.org if you need to sign up for an event with member pricing before the next expected renewal update.

 

What can I do to ensure I will not have problems?

Login to your pmi-centraliowa.org "Profile" and make sure your profile shows your PMI Member ID. Click an event link on the home page and select your event on the popup. Make sure you see the appropriate "add to cart" buttons. If you have problems, email dir-membership@pmi-centraliowa.org  or  dir-registration@pmi-centraliowa.org.

 

I am a New Member, so why does the event only provide a Non-Member price?

First, you need to be logged in to the site to see member pricing. Next, you must be logged in to a profile that is mapped to the PMI.ORG profile. You can test this by looking at your profile - click the "Profile" link - and verifying that the PMI Member ID is listed. If the number is not listed or is incorrect, it is possible that since you joined PMI.org our chapter database has not been updated. The update is a manual process and is expected to be performed every Monday morning. If you need to sign up for an event with member pricing before the next expected database update, contact the dir-membership@pmi-centraliowa.org and provide the date you joined along with your PMI Member ID.

 

I don't know my User ID, how do I signup for an Event?

To determine your UserID, go to the Login FAQ link under Publications - FAQ - Login FAQ. If you cannot determine your User ID from those steps, please contact dir-membership@pmi-centraliowa.org

 

How can I become a Member?

Go to the menu options "Get Involved - Membership - Become a Member" for instructions. Or contact the dir-membership@pmi-centraliowa.org.

 

I Cancelled my Order, when will the refund show up on my credit card?

When you "cancel" an order in the system, that does not trigger a refund, please refer to the Cancellations policy in the event. A "cancel" only cancels the order history. Obtaining a refund requires the member to contact the vp.finance@pmi-centraliowa.org.  There is functionality to automatically transfer your registration to another event of the same cost, or to another person of the same cost structure.
